Slowing Down on Lummi Island

Sleepier than the nearby San Juan Islands (especially after the infamous Willows Inn closed earlier this year), there’s not much to do on Lummi Island other than wander the country roads looking for goats and publicly-accessible shoreline. A sign after departing the 20-car ferry reminds you to “drive lovingly” and the last remaining restaurant is only open a few days per week. We spent a few slow days on Lummi to wrap up 2022 and while it wasn’t a photo-centric trip, I did bring along a new small camera on our many walks to capture some of the memories.
