The Colorado Wild Project - Year 1

Last summer, I started a project that I’m tentatively calling Colorado Wild that I intend to be one of my main focuses for the next few years. The idea is to photograph all 44 of Colorado’s federal wilderness areas and all—for some masochistic reason—on black and white film with an old Hasselblad 501CM fully-manual analog camera. So far, I’ve explored the Rawah, Eagles Nest, Flat Tops, Indian Peaks, Greenhorn Mountain, Collegiate Peaks, and Black Ridge Canyons wilderness areas, as well as Rocky Mountain National Park for the project. Many of the trips have been shared on the YouTube channel, if you’re interested in following along behind the scenes. Looking forward to more exploring in 2021 when I’m back from a few months of travel and I’ll share more images from the project as it progresses.

(Note from the future: loved this project, but I ended up moving to Seattle and it got put on the indefinite back burner).
