Postcards from Deception Pass

I hadn’t been out with the camera for a while and decided yesterday on a whim to drive up to Deception Pass State Park up the coast from Seattle. It’s the most visited state park in Washington, with some of the best coastal trails in the area. The sun was out, but it was in the 40s with wind was gusting to 30 or 40 mph, kicking up an unusually turbulent sea. I’d barely seen waves here before, but apparently there was enough action for the surfers to come out to play. Fun to watch, but I was happy to be bundled up in several layers on dry land instead.

Hope you’re well,

Brian
