Postcards from Seattle

Today marks three years since I moved to Seattle.

I sure love it here.

And lately, I’ve been spending more and more of my time working on a local photography project, Walking Seattle, that focuses on simply documenting what catches my eye on long walks along the city’s streets, parks, and shorelines. Somewhere between landscape photography and street photography, it’s been a refreshing change of pace, where each “trip” is very low pressure, since I haven’t invested much time, money, or energy in getting there, and can easily revisit a spot another time. If you’re a photographer, I’d highly recommend finding a way to fit some hyperlocal work into your practice.

I’ve also been shaking up the tools I use a bit—all of the images below were taken with a new camera from a brand I’d never used up until a few weeks ago. Really loving it so far, and assuming that continues to be the case, I’ll make a video talking about that decision soon.

Thanks for your support, in all the forms that it takes,

Brian
