Exploring Vancouver Island

I just returned from my second trip up to Canada’s Vancouver Island, a wild place at the far southwest of British Columbia, home to the province’s capital city and the highest density of mountain lions in the world (plus a lot of other wildlife that I did actually get to see). After a day in Victoria, I spent about a week driving up and around parts of the island’s west coast. Only scratched the surface, and once again had to shift plans due to some unusual snow close to sea level, but it sure is a beautiful place.
