2024 was a wonderful year for me on the photography front. It was my first full year of being completely self-employed (splitting my time between photography and some part-time analytics consulting work). I fit in quite a few photo trips, did some commercial and editorial projects, and really ramped up sales of fine art prints. Most of the year was spent in the PNW, with extended trips to the Oregon Coast, Vancouver Island, the San Juan Islands, Northern California, the Olympic Peninsula, and dozens of photo walks around Seattle. November saw my first trip to Japan, a country I fell deeply in love with and will return to many more times (and likely again in 2025).

I’ve shared a few favorite images below, but this just barely scratches the surface. On Sunday, I’ll be doing an in-depth review of 2024 on Patreon, including talking about many more of my favorite images, plus some thoughts on goals and plans for 2025.
