The Apple Tree

from $80.00
Size:

Seattle, Washington

Although we’re known for rain up here in the Pacific Northwest, summers are surprisingly dry—it’d been about a month without any precipitation when I stumbled upon this apple tree on a walk in a north Seattle neighborhood. We (the residents and the produce) soak up the sun while we can during the summer months, knowing that the clouds will be back all too soon.

Prints are available on fine art matte paper or on ready-to-hang ChromaLuxe aluminum.

FINE ART PAPER PRINTS (OPEN EDITION)

Fine art paper prints are available in two sizes and sold as an open edition. They’re individually produced in my studio on a Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-1000 printer with archival inks on top-of-the-line Canson Infinity Rag Photographique paper. Sizes listed are the dimensions of the printed image. There is an additional small white border to make framing and handling easier. Prints ship unframed as standard, but if you’d rather receive them ready to hang, I can help with that as well, particularly if you’re local to the Seattle area.

CHROMALUXE ALUMINUM PRINTS (LIMITED EDITION)

ChromaLuxe aluminum prints are available in four sizes and sold as a limited edition (only 100 will ever be sold across all sizes). These are produced in a matte finish to reduce distracting glare, while still showing off the details of the image. As opposed to paper prints, these arrive ready-to-hang and do not require a frame.

These are produced in partnership with a trusted third-party lab that I’ve personally visited and inspected. The image is first printed on a transfer paper using a Epson F6200 dye-sublimation printer. The print is then placed onto the ChromaLuxe metal and placed into a heat press which causes the dyes from the transfer paper to transform into a gas. These gaseous dyes are pressed into the surface of the metal, and as the metal cools, the dyes return to their solid state, becoming permanently infused into the aluminum substrate.

ChromaLuxe prints are easy to clean and are also temperature and moisture resistant.

For more information about print options, see my print information page.

Both types of prints ship free within the continental USA. For Hawaii, Alaska, or International orders, please contact me (prints@brianwlackey.com) for a quote.

I’m happy to help provide any additional information as well as suggestions for images or sizes that would work well in your space.
