Postcards from a West Coast Road Trip

Earlier this year, I did a photography road trip down the full Oregon Coast before spending some time in California. It was unseasonably warm and a lovely time for some travel photography. On previous trips there, I’d focused primarily on the landscapes of this wild region, but this time took a broader, more documentary-style approach and simply photographed the parts of the coast that caught my eye, that felt distinctly of the Oregon Coast. It’s a direction I’ve felt my photography move towards over the years and leaning into that felt good. The landscapes will always be a part of my travel work, but they’re just a piece of the puzzle and I enjoy telling a more well-rounded story of a place.

Winter tends to be a slower time for my photography, so I’m thrilled to see the arrival of Spring, with sunnier days, warmer weather, and cherry blossoms all over the streets of Seattle. I have several trips planned for the next few months, including some local PNW exploring, a commercial project for a tourism board, and an international trip in May. Stay tuned!

Thank you all for your support, in all the forms that it takes.

Cheers,

Brian
